New netcode system is back - it has been reworked
09 Dec 2019 09:09 AM UTC
As you remember, we rolled back the new netcode shortly after having introduced it. The reason was that players with an unstable Internet connection could face subtle (or almost imperceptible) slowdowns - as if something was stopping the character's movement, and they were moving in a dense, thick environment (“jelly” effect).
To get rid of this negative effect, the development team has optimized client-server interaction. The client and server send each other more commands every second, which allows them to communicate more effectively. We have also introduced a couple of changes in the code. You can test these changes now on Warface servers.
We ask players with an unstable Internet connection to compare the gameplay now and before the update and share their observations in the discussion topic of this news.
Thank you in advance!
